Summit Spotlight: Sundance Summer Concert Series

Outdoor Concert

Sundance Mountain Resort, one of Utah’s most sought-after ski resorts nearby Summit Creek, proves the ideal location for skiing during the winter months. But, did you also know it has a thriving summer social calendar? As the snow melts and the days become longer, Sundance provides the soundtrack to our favorite summer memories with its wildly popular Sounds of Summer Concert Series.

Each year Sundance makes summertime even more magical with local and fairly well-known groups and musicians taking to the stage in their outdoor amphitheatre on Ray’s Lawn. The event is free and kicks off on July 8. From then until September 19, locals and visitors alike head out with their lawn chairs, families and friends to hear the sounds of summer—including bands like The Hardy Brothers, Tony Holiday & the Velvetones, the Red Desert Ramblers and many more.

The entire experience is a sensory treat—the warm weather, scent of fresh mountain air and sounds of music both captivate and inspire. Sundance summer concerts are ideal for the entire family, so plan to bring the kids as they’ll be able to freely mix and mingle with their friends while you enjoy the tunes. At each concert, The Sundance Food Truck is in tow, serving delicious, gourmet style fare (think burgers, chipotle chicken, carne asada, fries) and snacks.

There’s a whole world of wonder just beyond the gates of Summit Creek and, even outside the bounds of ski season, Sundance has so much to offer.
